The Traveling Baby Co, LLC originated in Los Angeles, California as a division of a small retail chain of children's products which opened in the summer of 1996. The rental agency that flourished from it continues to expand into different parts of the country.
The experience we have gathered in working with the public, particularly with moms and handling all types of baby products has enabled us to form one of the best, full service baby equipment rental agencies on the west coast. Our goal is not only to lift a tremendous burden from the traveling parent but also to provide their children with all the comforts of home while traveling.

Traveling with kids under the age of 4 can be both exciting and overwhelming. Often times, the hardest part of any vacation is helping your child adjust to new surroundings. Whether it is Grandma's house or a fancy hotel room, it’s important to feel comfortable and secure.
Ensuring that your child’s needs are met for a trip, it's easy to reach your limit; before you know it, the trunk is full or you're exceeding airline baggage regulations. There may not be room for a stroller, crib, or playpen, let alone the swing, gate, potty seat, or extra toys. Besides your child’s comfort, safety is another travel consideration.
In February 2000, the Consumer Products Safety Commission (see www.cpsc.gov), in conjunction with the National SAFE KIDS Campaign, found unsafe cribs and play yards in 80% of hotels and motels visited. At the Traveling Baby Co. all of our equipment meets current federal safety standards and is inspected after each use. We deliver to hotels, private residences and resorts because customers prefer using newer, well maintained cribs instead of hotel port-a-cribs, which may not be safe for their baby's age and weight. Our great service offers a jump start on arrangements to make trip-planning less stressful.
